A pair of Arthur Osborne Ivorex Bas-relief wall plaques.
One titled, Happy Days (A jovial pub scene) ,and the other, Flemish Waterfront. Very minimal wear. as they are in very good vintage condition. There is some chipping around hanging hooks on Happy Days, as it appears to be done with purpose (to hang on an unlevel wall perhaps)
Ivorex plaques were made in Faversham, Kent, England at 83 Abbey Street between 1899 and 1965 by the B. Osborne Company, founded by Arthur Osborne, the inspired sculptor of the incredible art that he named Ivorex (A wax-chalk concrete.) Sold as a pair.
