Vintage pleated platter hat,Hollywood Glamour. Stunning, vintage, velvet pleated, Platter hat. 1940/50s flat top hat that perches on crown with a wide brim, was known as a, Platter Hat. Approx measurements are 13.5" across brim, and about 3" depth at crown. This distinctively beautiful example, is made from soft beige velvet with matching band, and two beautiful rosettes of same color and material. In the center of both rosettes are single, sparkling aurora borealis like rhinestones. Beautiful pleats are gathered around the brim. The regal look and feel will not go unnoticed. This is a fabulous example of vintage beauty worn by Hollywood royalty.....feel the glamour of a bygone era.
*Minor wear on the velvet from age is minimal...please see the pictures. Under the brim is a barely noticeable mark (you would have to specifically seek it out to notice). But with that said, i would still consider this remarkable piece to be of very good to excellent vintage condition.
